Borscht
Ingredients:
4 Qt. water
1/2 lb mushrooms
4 c. sliced beets
1 onion chopped
1 garlic clove
2 potatoes diced
2 carrots chopped 3 celery stalks
1/2 head of cabbage
8 oz. tomato sauce
2 Tbsp. vinegar
dash of dill and parsley
salt and pepper
1 tsp. sugar

Directions:
Cook first 9 ingredients for 30 minutes.  Then add tomato sauce, vinegar, parsley, peppers, salt and sugar.  Simmer for 1 hour.
