Brownies
Ingredients
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 t. vanilla
2 1/2 c. brownie mix*
1/2 c. chopped nuts* (optional)
2 T. milk (optional)
Chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
Combine eggs, vanilla and browni mix. Beat until smooth. Add milk, if desired for cake-like brownies, stir in nuts. Pour into greased and floured 8x8 pan. bake 30 minutes at 350: for easy frosting, sprinkle about 1/2 c. chocolate chips over hot brownies. cover untill melted and spread over brownies.
Black forest brownies: Dot batter with cherry pie filling* and slivered almonds before baking. use almond extract instead of vanilla.
Mint brownies: Use pepermint extract instead of vanilla and/or burry peppermint patties* in batter before baking and/or use mint chcolate chips for frosting.
Mocha brownies: Add 1-2 T. instant coffee to batter and/or substitute Brewed coffee* for milk.
Peanut butter cup brownies: Bury minature peanut butter cups* in batter before baking .
Coffee toffee cup brownies: Add crushed Heath bars* or toffee bits to mocha brownie batter before baking and/or sprinkle on top.
