Mrs. Bacon’s Sour Cream Pound Cake

 

3 c. sugar

6 eggs

½ pt. Sour cream

3 c. cake flour

½ lb.  butter (2 sticks)

½ tsp. soda

1 tsp vanilla flavoring

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Sift flour with soda.  Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Add dry ingredients in thirds alternating with sour cream.  Begin and end with flour.  Add vanilla flavoring.  Bake for 1 hour in preheated 350-degree oven.
