Fried Twinkies

 

1 c. milk

2 Tbsp. vinegar

1 Tbsp. oil

1 c. flour

1 tsp. baking powder

½ tsp. salt

½ tsp. vanilla

Twinkies – frozen overnight or longer

4 c. oil

 

Heat oil to 375 degrees. Mix milk, vinegar, and oil.  In another bowl mix flour, baking powder, and salt.  Whisk wet ingredients into dry.  Mix until smooth. Dust Twinkie with flour and dip in batter.  Make sure all of Twinkie is covered with batter. Carefully place in hot oil.  Twinkie will float so hold down under oil with tongs.  When golden brown 3-4 minutes – drain on paper towel.  Sprinkle with powdered sugar. ENJOY!
