Sour Cream Pound Cake

2 sticks margarine

3 c. sugar

3 c. all-purpose flour

6 eggs

½ pt. Sour cream

½ tsp. soda

Use one of the following:

1 tsp. grated lemon rind

1 tsp. almond flavoring

1 tsp. vanilla

 

Cream margarine and sugar – add eggs, one at a time.  Sift flour and soda – add to batter alternately with sour cream.  Add desired flavoring – mix well.  Pour into greased and floured tube pan or bundt pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.  Let cool about 10 minutes before removing from pan.  Serves 16.
