Cliff’s Irish Soda Bread

 

6 C flour

3 T baking powder

½ t salt

½ C sugar

4 C milk

4 eggs

1 C raisins

pinch of baking soda

 

Mix dry ingredients (sift) , add raisins.  Beat eggs in some milk, add to flour, add milk until the dough is nice and wet – but not too thin (not like cake) – Caraway seeds may be added together with raisins if desired.  Grease and flour one large glass casserole dish , two loaf pans or two round cake pans.  Sprinkle flour on top of dough and bake @ 375 degrees for one hour.
