Carob Brownies

 

Ingredients:

1 1/3 c. soy powder or soy flour

3-4 T. Carob powder

3 tsp. Baking powder

½ tsp. Stevia extract

1 T. Sweet-n-Safe

¼ c. Splenda

2/3 c. oil

2/3 c. water

4 eggs, beaten

2 T. vanilla

½ c. carob chips

 

 

Directions:

Mix eggs and sweeteners until well blended. Add remaining ingredients except carob ship. Mix well. Add carob chips. Mix. Pour into a greased 9x13 cake pan. Bake 12-15 minutes at 375 F.

 

Icing:

6 oz. Soy sour cream

4 oz. Cream cheese

3 T. Carob powder

½ tsp Stevia extract

3 packets or 6 scoops of Sweet-n-Safe

Mix all ingredients well and spread it onto brownies.

Refrigerate

 

Variation: omit carob powder
