Chicken and Dumplings

 

Ingredients:

4 chicken breasts or 1 stewing chicken

6 eggs

1 tsp. salt

¼ cup water

flour

extra chicken broth or water as needed.

 

 

Directions:

Early in the day, beat eggs, salt and water. Add enough flour to make dough stiff. Roll out on heavily floured surface until thin. Let dry all day. Cut into narrow strips. Boil chicken in water till tender. Remove chicken from pan and debone; set aside. Add water or chicken broth to pan bring to a boil.  Drop dumplings in and cook about 30 minutes add chicken.
