Marcies Pear Cake
Lake Co. is the pear capital of the world

Ingredients:
2 c. flour
1 tsp cinnamon1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
5 pears, (firm ripe) cored and chopped, unpeeled
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. oil
3 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. white sugar
1/4 c. water
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c. toasted walnuts

Directions:
Blend flour, cinnamen, baking soda, nutmeg and salt in one bowl.  Mix brown sugar, oil, eggs, white sugar, wanter and vanilla in another bowl.  Then mix the two together, add pears and nuts.  Pour into a buttered and floured 9x13 inch pan.  Bake at 350 for 55 minutes.  Serve warm or cooled with ice cream or whipped cream
