SICILIAN CASSEROLE


ingredients

1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground hot sausage
1 green pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
1 1/2 qt. spaghetti sauce
1 lb. wheels and corkscrews, cooked, or other pasta
1/2 lb. pepperoni
1 small can mushroom pieces, drained
8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded

preparation

Brown hamburger, sausage, pepper and onion (drain grease). Put 1/2 sauce in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Put in 1/2 pasta. Add pepperoni. Add mushrooms and 1/2 cheese. Add rest of pasta, then rest of sauce. Add remaining cheese. Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes more.
