APPLE DUMPLING


ingredients

Granny Smith apples (1 apple makes 4 dumplings)
4 or 8 count Pillsbury crescent rolls
1 c. orange juice
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg

preparation

Peel, core and quarter however many apples you want to do. Wrap 1/4 apple in one crescent roll. Work with hands until entire piece of apple is covered. Place in casserole dish. Bring to a boil the orange juice, butter, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. After the butter has melted, stir well and pour into casserole dish with apples. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Can serve with dollop of vanilla ice cream.
