1 lb. oleo
12 Tbsp. sugar
5 c. flour
1 tsp. butter flavoring
jelly (red and green for Christmas season)
nuts (any season)


Mix with heavy mixer the oleo, flour, sugar and butter flavoring. Roll teaspoonful size balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; press center with thumbprint. Spoon tiny amount of colored jellies or pecan halves in the center. Bake at 325° for 10 to 12 minutes. They are not brown. They get a golden color and brown on the bottom. Makes 100 cookies.
