COLE SLAW


ingredients

1 medium cabbage, chopped
1 carrot, grated
1 rib celery, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 egg, beaten well
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1 tsp. celery seed
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. mayonnaise
salt and pepper

preparation

Place vegetables in a bowl. Stir together in a saucepan and cook slowly until slightly thickened the egg, mustard, celery seed, sugar, vinegar and water. Add mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste. Pour over vegetables.
